Friday, February 1

Food | Dine Around & Stay In Town

Dine Around & Stay in Town 2019 will take place from January 25th to February 10th, 2019.

Visitors and locals alike will experience Victoria’s thriving, diverse culinary scene and enjoy special offerings from over 50 restaurants with set-price, three course menus. Victoria’s hotels also will join in the fun and offer accommodations at reduced prices.

Sports | Vikes Games

Come out and cheer on your basketball, soccer, women’s field hockey, women’s rugby, swimming, cross country and track teams at various events.

Dancing | Ballet West

Ballet West has toured the world several times over presenting the very best in American classical ballet. Sweet and Bitter by Africa Guzmán (Spain) uses Ezio Bosso’s score as a source of inspiration “to find strength and sensitivity and transform the most classic lines to play with the limits of gravity.”

Health | Wellness Weekend at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel

Led by Catherine Roscoe Barr, BSc Neuroscience, wellness coach, and founder of The Life Delicious, the weekend retreat will lead participants through five in-depth modules on Mindset, Movement, Nutrition, Sleep and Connection, amidst the inspirational and sophisticated surroundings of the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.

Lego | Lego Exhibition

Dozens of Star Wars themed Lego models provide a special focus for this exciting exhibit, rounded out by hundreds of other Lego models including Hogwarts Castle and Lego model of the Bugatti Chiron automobile.

Film | Victoria Film Festival

The Victoria Film Festival runs from February 1st – February 10th and will feature 156 films from Canada and around the world.

Nature | Stop, Look, Listen – Guided Tour

Use your senses to appreciate the wonders of the forest. Join a CRD Regional Parks naturalist and find what’s hidden on the trail, meet a tree, and more. This is a great way for kids and adults to share nature together. There is no fee for this program.

Music | African Drumming Camp

Mamadou Diabate is a virtuoso musician from Burkina Faso, West Africa. As well as being one of the world’s top percussionists, he is an exceptional instructor. Mamadou tours extensively around the globe, and locals are lucky to have him here in Victoria for more than two full weeks!

Hockey | Hockey For Hospitals

For a fifth consecutive year, the Victoria Royals have teamed up with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation to present Hockey For Hospitals in support of our local hospitals. On February 2, the Royals will face off against the Tri-City Americans to raise funds towards for the Royal Jubilee Hospital Emergency Department. This year, proceeds from Hockey For Hospitals will support the Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s $3.5 million You Are Vital campaign.
