Last night the Royals took on the Vancouver Giants on home ice at the Save-on-Foods memorial centre for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game.
With the Royals first goal of the evening, scored by Eric Florchuk, fans unleashed a barrage of bears on to the ice. These furry friends will be donated to many different charities including TLC Fund for Kids, Single Parent Resource Centre, Women in Need, The Salvation Army, CFAX Santa’s Anonymous and more!
On top of all of the incredible donations, money raised from the sale of “Mini-Mary” plush bears was donated to the BC children’s Hospital!
Although the Royals just missed the win with a final score of 5-4 for the Giants, they have raised an incredible amount of money and donations for a good cause.
The Royals will be back on home ice after the holidays for their December 27th game vs. the Prince George Cougars. Tickets available at http://www.selectyourtickets.com/sports.php?team_id=1
